'Talk Up Yout' develops, supports and highlights programmes that encourage adolescent development and participation.

Adolescent participation in Jamaica remains highly uneven. The adolescent voice is largely missing from decision-making and policy development. Talk Up Yout’ – a nationally televised talk show hosted by Emprezz Golding – is one of the few platforms designed to share adolescent views on issues affecting young people with solutions as the final outcome.

'Talk Up Yout'  Television Show produced by 'Stanley & Empress Productions reaches over 800,000 viewers during it's on air season and has recently expanded it's 'youth programmes' due to the demand from the youth for various other platforms of adolescent participation.

The children are the future and it takes a village to raise a child.  I believe that children should be seen and heard and as a part of the Jamaican village, I must live a life that has purpose. My vision is to see the youth of Jamaica empowered. As a Jamaican personality, I feel it is my responsibility to take action and be a part of the development of our youth.

I woke up one morning and had the vision of a Talk show that dealt with the issues of the young people and their solutions. After speaking at schools and many other benevolent endeavors where I met so many young people that were affected by their upbringing, their parenting, their influences and their environment, I knew I had to do more.  So I called my business partner Nadia Stanley and without question she said “yes” she would join forces with me as Co- Executive producer and I respect and appreciate her dedication. She is a great producer. My deepest desire is to see a Jamaica where our youth are confident, free from abuse, protected, informed, articulate and self-reliant.

All I ask of the Jamaican fraternity is to be aware and more informed about the truth regarding our youth issues, give a listening ear and protect them. My Men  & Women of Jamaica… I ask you to please be the protectors and providers and start to prepare a safe environment for the young and impressionable minds. I pray we will no longer turn a blind eye and start to ‘Talk Up’ … ‘Talk the truth’…and ‘Talk’ with ambition and motivation.

I am grateful for the support of National Baking Company as the Major Investor.. The little children shall lead and I stay committed to assisting them. I believe ‘Talk Up Yout’, the movement, will be the metamorphosis for our youth.

  Make Yourself a Promise

Picture

What promise can you make to yourself today? What promise can you make to yourself, and keep?  You have made, and will continue to make, all sorts of commitments to others. If those commitments are to have any value, you must also be committed to yourself.  It's not the least bit selfish to be committed to yourself. Because being your absolute best, is what enables you to be of service to others.

Right now, you know of many ways in which you can strengthen and improve your value to yourself, and your value to life. Pick one of those ways, right now, and make a promise to yourself to follow through.  No matter how far you've already come, there is always some new and fulfilling ground to cover. Choose a fresh, challenging path, and commit to making your way along it.

Make yourself a promise. And give to all of life your own unique gift of achievement.

                                          -- Ralph Marston
